Commentary

In order to preserve and repair the former "Zentsu-ji Kaikosha" (club for retired military servicemen), which up until then had been used as the Zentsuji City Kyodokan (folk center), the functions of the center were transferred to their current location at Akamonsuji in April of 2005. On the 1st floor, visitors can find roughly 1,100 archeological items focused primarily on burial accessories excavated from the Arioka burial mounds, and on the 2nd floor, roughly 400 examples of historical and folk materials that have been collected within the city can be found. The center is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free of charge. The center is closed every week on Mondays and during the period at the end and beginning of the year.
