Shusshaka-ji Temple

Commentary

This is the Main Hall. This edifice is used to store the seated statue of Shakyamuni Tathagata, the Honzon of Shusshaka-ji Temple, and it was established in 1790. It was built by gathering notable carpenters from the surrounding areas, such as Ono Heikichiro Fujiwara Masatoshi. The wooden seated statue of Shakyamuni Tathagata was built in the Edo period. Additionally, a seated, wooden statue of Akasagarbha that was built during the Edo period is also stored in the Migiwakinoma room located within the hall.
